Description Destination

The Schenner Waalweg runs at an altitude of 1,100 m from the Masulschlucht through forests and meadows, chestnut groves and orchards to the Naiftal. With constant clear views, the trail goes from the Waalerhütte to the Hoferhof, to the Gasthof Hasenegg and then on to the Gasthof Pichler. Immediately behind it, the Waalweg branches off and leads through a spruce forest to the "Katzenleiter" - a stone staircase that leads to the Schnuggenbach. Crossing the mountain path, the Waalweg continues to the Brunjaunhof. It then goes above St. Georgen past the Gsteirerweg and on to Vernaun in the Naiftal.
