The Wildholzweg starts at the municipal office in Nussdorf am Attersee and then leads across the Anger (between Hotel Landgasthof Ragginger and Boutique Hotel Aichinger) and Oberndorf to the well-known lookout point and power spot "Pfarrer Salettl".
Along the way you pass several stations for young and old. Below is also the little house where the children can get a stamp for the Adventure Hiking Pass - Gustl & Perla's Attersee-Attergau Adventure Trip.

Twelve stations provide information about the walnut tree as a symbol of Nussdorf, the importance of the timber industry for the region, the use and processing of old fruit tree varieties, and furniture production then and now. You will also come across highlights such as a tunnel, a raised platform, a labyrinth and a demonstration workshop.
You return via the same route to the center of Nussdorf!

Philosophy:
Tree - wood ... two monosyllabic words, simple and omnipresent. However, these two words only give a hint of the dimensions of the miracle that is the tree, which range from a natural living being with its complex survival processes to wood as a companion of human civilization. The aim of the Wildholzweg is to let visitors participate in this wonder of nature at 12 stations along the way and to awaken enthusiasm for one of humanity's oldest companions.

Pioneering walnut...the imposing walnut tree - the namesake for "Nisdorf" or later Nußdorf - points the way to an exciting journey of discovery:
from the history of the Berimandl, to the beech as a piece of clothing, to the tree as a thirst quencher and as a miracle of nature, to its processing then and now. On one of the paths you will come across a demonstration workshop and a sawmill, you will get to know numerous tree species and the Attersee will be at your feet.
