The Zwölferhorn cable car was newly built in 2020 and takes guests up to the popular "Hörndl" in just 11 minutes. A fantastic view over seven lakes in the Salzkammergut and wonderful hiking trails for the whole family extend from the mountain station. With an exciting circular hiking trail, the offer will be even more attractive for young and old from mid-June. The perfect refreshment after the hike is available directly at the mountain station on the wonderful terrace of the Das Zwölfer Panoramarestaurant.

    By boat: Visit us by boat from a nearby location on Lake Wolfgangsee, take the St. Gilgen boat dock and reach the valley station of the Zwölferhorn cable car in just 5 minutes on foot.
    By bus: You can easily reach our Zwölferhorn cable car by bus. The stop is very close to the valley station building.
    By car: If you are coming from Vienna, take the Mondsee exit and follow the main road to St. Gilgen. If you are coming from Munich, exit the motorway at Thalgau in the direction of Hof and then continue to Fuschl and St. Gilgen. Our parking garage in the valley station offers 84 parking spaces. The first four hours of parking are free when you buy a cable car ticket.

    Overall impression

    Fehlende Hilfsbereitschaft

    Haben die Seilbahn mit Kleinkind (2 Jahre) und Baby benutzt. Personal war sehr unfreundlich und hat auch nicht geholfen. Kinderwagen musste schon am Eingang zusammengeklappt werden, so dass alles getragen werden musste. Heimfahrt wurde zur Odyssee, da man in einer Schlange 1 1/2 Std. anstehen musste, bevor man mit der Seilbahn ins Tal fahren konnte. Seitens der Geschäftsleitung wurde auf eine Beschwerde gar nicht reagiert.

    Overall impression

    Nostalgie mit Erfolgserlebnis

    Mit der 12er-Hornbahn kann man in einer kleinen, urigen Seilbahn (2-4 Leute pro Kabine) auf das 12er-Horn rauffahren. Oben gibt es tolle Hütten für eine kleine Stärkung. Ebenfalls am Horn oben - eine rund 1,5 Stünde, sehr schöne, Rundwanderung.
    Unseren Kindern hat die Seilbahnfahrt sehr gefallen. Der Ausblick ist während der Fahrt und oben traumhaft schön. Essen auch Spitze. Der Preis ist happig aber das liegt wohl daran, dass das 12er-Horn mittlerweile Ausflugsziel von Japanischen und Arabischen Touristengruppen geworden ist und damit immer ausgebucht sein wird.
