Route plannerDirections
By public transport:
Fuschl am See can be reached regularly with line 150. This means you can start from the main train station in Salzburg city. Since line 150 runs through the region from Koppl to Fuschl am See, you can easily travel by bus. Line 155 runs regularly to Faistenau and Hintersee.
By car:
- Take the A1 motorway to the Thalgau exit (whether you are coming from Munich or Vienna): Continue towards Hof near Salzburg - this is where the Fuschlsee region begins. To get to Lake Fuschl, please take the 2nd exit at the Elsenwang roundabout towards Bad Ischl. From here continue as described below.
- Coming from Salzburg: From the district of Gnigl, take the B158 (Wolfgangseestraße) towards Bad Ischl. In a few minutes you reach Koppl - this is where the Fuschlsee region begins. To get to Lake Fuschl, please take the first exit at the Elsenwang roundabout after about 15 km to stay on the B158.
Cross Hof near Salzburg and take the 2nd exit at the roundabout in Baderluck to stay on the B158. In a few minutes we reach Fuschl am See, where we take the first entrance to the town (opposite the Red Bull headquarters) and then immediately to the right is the parking lot of the Fuschlseebad. Cheap, paid parking.
