In summer there is a lot to experience not only for adults but also for young hikers. Around 40 alpine huts provide you and your family with homemade delicacies. You can get to know the nature and flora on a hike through the forest or on stroller-friendly paths. The alpine theme accompanies you not only up in the mountains, but also in the valley. At the adventure playground “Rucki Zucki’s – Gaudi Alm” you can discover an alpine stream, a mountain lake, a mini farm, a crystal mine and much more.
In the national park exhibition “On the Alpine Pasture – Between Heaven and Earth” at the end of the Hüttschlag valley, you can learn a lot of new things about life on the Alpine pastures in the past and today in a playful way.
Fun and action are guaranteed at the Großarl adventure mountain, where you can zoom down the mountain with the whole family in the mountain carts or your children can do laps at the E-Trial Park. The large leisure center offers plenty of sporting activities. With the adventure pool, mini golf, volleyball and soccer field, you will definitely not get bored.
In winter, 73 km of perfectly groomed slopes and 17 modern lifts await you on the Großaltal-Dorfgastein ski area. The range of slopes is varied and guarantees skiing fun for the whole family. The little skiers have fun on the Funslope, on the Fischbacher adventure meadow or in the Hollywald. Children as well as adult beginners are in good hands at the local ski schools.
