Klostertal holiday region

Klostertal - Vorarlberg in all its beauty

The wild, romantic mountain region lies in the south of Austria's westernmost state. It stretches over a length of around 30 kilometers from the Alpine town of Bludenz to the Tyrolean border .

If you stand high up on the summit of the Arlberg, it is all too easy to surrender to many alpine clichés when looking out over the Klostertal. This clear mountain air! This seemingly endless, sunny sky in a flawless blue! The majesty of the rugged mountain formations! The lush green meadows and forests in the valley ! This view is one of the most spectacular in the Alps.

Here you can experience the pristine nature of the mountains with all your senses. Whether in summer or winter, spring or autumn: the Klostertal has its own magic in every season .

Experience an unforgettable winter

The ski areas of the Klostertal are considered to be the largest winter sports area in Austria - and are also particularly child-friendly . Incidentally, the foundations of modern alpine skiing were laid here in the 1920s.

Then as now, the superbly groomed slopes of all levels of difficulty and the excellent infrastructure make a winter holiday a special, carefree experience.

Skiing with the whole family

A highlight of the Arlberg region: The family ski area at Sonnenkopf is one of the few natural snow areas. Thanks to its convenient location, snow is very reliable. Tip : In summer, the ski area turns into a bear country . ;-)

And away from the ski slopes? Looking for and finding a thrill in ice climbing? Hiking in mystical white landscapes? Or simply enjoying Vorarlberg's famous hospitality with your loved ones - for example in the cozy parlor of one of the numerous mountain huts, hotels and restaurants? There are countless special moments to experience in the wintry Klostertal.

A dream of summer in the mountains

Huge mountain reliefs reflected in crystal-clear mountain lakes fed by waterfalls! Fragrant forests and idyllic alpine meadows full of wild flowers that gently nestle against the slopes of the rugged mountains! In the Klostertal, the dream of summer in the Alps comes true.

Whether you are a beginner or experienced in mountain hiking or mountain biking : numerous routes of different lengths and difficulty levels lead through the landscape of Vorarlberg - spectacular panoramic views included.

Tips for visiting the Klostertal

The weather can change quickly in the mountains. If it doesn't look like peace, joy and sunshine, then head to one of the many toboggan runs - fun for all ages!

The communities of Klösterle am Arlberg, Dalaas and Innerbraz are located in the Klostertal. Walks through the small, pretty towns are highly recommended. The Alpine town of Bludenz, with its beautiful old town with a southern flair, offers the perfect backdrop for a relaxing afternoon in a café or a shopping spree.
