The Hoher Kasten cable car takes you from Brülisau to 1,794 meters above sea level in eight minutes, where unique views of six countries await you. You can experience the 360° panorama not only on the barrier-free Europe circular route, but also in the only revolving restaurant in Eastern Switzerland - culinary delights included. Arriving by public transport:
The valley station of the Hoher Kasten cable car in Brülisau can be easily reached by public transport.
You can arrive with the Appenzeller Bahnen from Gossau via Herisau - Appenzell - Weissbad or from St. Gallen via Appenzell - Weissbad.
From Weissbad train station, the post bus goes directly to the valley station of the cable car.
Arriving by car:
You can reach Brülisau by car via Appenzell - Steinegg or via Appenzell - Weissbad.
There are enough free parking spaces available at the valley station. On busy days, there are additional parking spaces at the surrounding farms. These are subject to a fee (CHF 3.–/day).
