Denni: My name is Denise, mother of two and 33 years young.

Since February 2022, I have been living in a tranquil place near Mattersburg and am always exploring, alone or with my family (I affectionately call them "Fam-Gang"), various excursion and travel destinations, hiking routes and various leisure spots around my new home, Burgenland and beyond.

I actually come from Upper Austria, more precisely from the beautiful Hausruckviertel, district of Grieskirchen.

Even as a small child, I was always on discovery tours with my parents and brother throughout almost all of Austria, where my thirst for adventure and curiosity for discovery and various leisure activities have always shaped me to this day.

True to my motto: "Discover where you live", my family and I are constantly looking for new adventures right on our doorstep! For us, there is nothing better than constantly rediscovering our hometown with all its facets!

familienausflug.info: How long has your profile/blog been around and how did you come up with the idea of ​​starting the whole thing?

Denni: A few years ago, love took me to Vienna and finally to Burgenland and I was practically “forced” to explore the easternmost state of Austria!

I always thought that it was just boring in the "flatlands" - at the same time, many of my families and friends often had the problem of not knowing where to find suitable excursion destinations in Burgenland - which trips and stays are worthwhile - which locations offer the best conditions for a special flying visit, etc.

From now on, I will convince more and more people of the opposite on my social media channels Facebook , Instagram & TikTok and always show impressive places in the eastern region with my personal tips for you to discover for yourself!

What started as a little hobby for me quickly became a true passion.

Denni: Even though I will always be an Upper Austrian at heart, I am happier than ever to explore my new home every day . It is not for nothing that Burgenland is called the sunny side of Austria; with an incredible 300 days of sunshine a year, the easternmost state reveals itself to be a small paradise of pure joie de vivre.

In addition, the individual and impressive natural landscapes leave a deep impression on me and at the same time I appreciate the many exciting excursion destinations, museums, castles, palaces and lakes that are waiting to be discovered!
