The Wilde Berg in Mautern, covering an area of 65 hectares, offers not only the Alpine animal park with around 300 residents, but also a large play park, a summer toboggan run, a mountain kart track and a wide range of regional cuisine in the restaurants.

The Wilde Berg usually opens at the end of April. At this time, there are already quite a few offspring: a total of 🐐 peacock goat kids, pygmy goat kids and Ouessant lambs see the light of day in spring. The bears have also woken up from hibernation and are happily moving around in the outdoor enclosure.🐻

The viewing platform in the middle of the deer enclosure . This special kind of high stand allows you to observe the deer and yaks up close and offers a unique view of the Eisenerz Alps .

The chairlift takes you up high
Even the arrival at the wildlife park is a promising prospect, as the chairlift takes you above the heads of the animals up to almost 1,100 meters. But don't worry, if you're traveling with a stroller or aren't completely free from vertigo, you can also enjoy the ride up comfortably on our park bus.
