Description Destination
In the exhibition room on the first floor of the old fire station, we show the local history of Salzburghofen - Freilassing in 5 sections. Starting with the origins of our area, through the Stone Age in 3 periods, the Bronze Age and up to the Bavarians. Then on to the affiliation to Salzburg, the peasant class, the development of the place up to the elevation to town status. The border situation with Austria. Then the development of the railway from 1860 is explained. The final section is trade and industry. In the anteroom, we also show the history of the displaced persons after the Second World War.
