Description Destination

The Teufelsgraben is the perfect place to cool off on hot summer days. With the Wildkar waterfall and a good network of paths along the river, there is a lot to discover. Children from around 3 years old can splash around in the stream (depending on the water level) and it is a good idea to have a picnic. Part of the path can be traveled with a stroller. From the ascent to the Wildkar waterfall, however, you have to leave the stroller behind. It is advisable to take a baby carrier/sling with you, as the path is easy to manage with it.

Parking: Teufelsgraben car park / high ropes course and Schiessentobel car park. Free of charge, no restrictions
Trail information: Walking time approx. 2 hours, length approx. 2.5 km, can also be hiked without a guide, short steeper sections (max. 80 m) which are usually made easier with steps.
The hiking trail is suitable for children but not entirely suitable for strollers.

    Gemütlicher Spaziergang

    Wir haben den Teufelsgraben mit unseren 2 Kindern (2 und 1/2 Jahr) schon öfters besucht. Der Weg geht durch den Wald, tlw etwas bergauf, aber für unseren 2-Jährigen gut begehbar. Geschützt unter den Bäumen, ist es hier auch an heißen Sommertagen schön kühl und angenehm. Im Bächlein, das man entlang geht, können sich etwas größere Kinder auch gut erfrischen (kein reißender Fluss). Für Babies empfehle ich eine Trage, da der Weg nicht kinderwagengerecht ist.
    Alles in allem ein toller Weg für einen kurzen Ausflug.

    Schöner Spaziergang

    Landschaftlich ist es dort wirklich sehr schön. Einzig - man ist die ganze Zeit im Wald und sieht nicht viel mehr als Bäume, Bäume, Bäume und den Bach.
    Wenn man ein wenig kreativ ist und hinter jedem Baum ein Abenteuer finden kann, dann ist es ein sehr abwechslungsreicher und netter Familienausflug. Und mit der Lagerfeuerstelle gleich am Beginn der Tour, kann man sich auch kulinarisch den Ausflug versüßen.
    Die Parkplatzsituation ist ein wenig angespannt, aber wer ein paar Meter nach Matzing reingeht um sein Auto zu parken - der wird dort immer fündig.
    Alles in Allem - sehr empfehlenswert.

    Schöner Weg für eine Wanderung mit Kindern

    Ein sehr ursprünglicher Weg, der beim Hochseilpark beginnt und durch den schattigen Wald führt. Vorbei am wunderschönen Wasserfall und der Kugelmühle geht es mehrmals über Stufen und Steigungen hinauf - daher nicht für den Kinderwagen geeignet. Den Kindern werden dabei auch Möglichkeiten geboten, den Wald und die Natur auf spielerische Weise kennenzulernen (z.B. in Form von verschiedenen Info-Stationen). Die Wanderung dauert in etwa 2 Stunden und ist im Sommer eine ruhige Alternative zu den überfüllten Strandbädern in der Region. Wir sind den Weg mit unserer Tochter (5 Jahre) schon 2-3 mal gegangen und es war immer ein schönes Erlebnis in der Natur!
