8th Africa Festival at Castle Mamling, A-4962 Mining: Fri. 05 – Sun. 07 July 2019 - Discovery of a mystical continent with guest country Morocco
Africa has fascinated many of us for a long time. The continent offers a diverse wealth of different peoples, cultures, unbridled zest for life, rousing rhythm, music and dance, in which old traditions are still maintained today. At Mamling Castle in Mining from 5 to 7. This African lifestyle will take place for the eighth time over three days in July.
The program is impressive - concerts, films and lectures, exhibitions, masked dancing, workshops, fashion shows, support for aid organizations and a great children's program with camel rides, storytelling, sand painting and creativity workshops.
Over 70 artisans from a wide range of African arts (fashion, jewelry, leather goods, sandals, cosmetics, instruments, soaps, basketry, hairstyles and much more) will exhibit their products at the bazaar on the spacious festival grounds. If you get really hungry, you can enjoy a wide selection of traditional African dishes and drinks. Perfect enjoyment is guaranteed.
The concerts taking place on all three days will captivate visitors as a special program highlight. Music groups and bands from Morocco, Burundi, Tanzania, Egypt and Tunisia will ensure a good atmosphere.
