The excursion park is a paradise for young and old. In addition to the game reserve, the impressive clock museum and the forest museum are also worth a visit.
Steinbruchsee: excursion park - guesthouse - game reserve - clock museum - forest museum. On the 1.3 km long circular path through the 60,000 square meter game reserve you can see fallow deer, Alpine ibex, red deer, sika deer, mouflon, goats, sheep, donkeys and rhea. The fallow deer roam freely throughout the entire enclosure and can be experienced up close. All other animals are in fenced enclosures, but can be fed. Numerous native fish species can be seen in the aquarium with 40,000 litres of water and the outdoor pools. In the forest museum, you can view around 800 specimens of native animals such as birds, fish and butterflies, as well as visual material on the geology and flora of the region and on wood processing. In the Clock Museum, visitors can view the largest clock collection in Eastern Bavaria (from ring clocks to tower clocks). There is also a petting zoo, a children's zip line, playgrounds with excavators and a games paradise.
