Every year, when we hear the chugging of our beloved slow train for the first time, the scent of summer comes to mind, both young and old. For more than 30 years now, the chugging slow train has been putting a smile on the faces of young and old. Because this unmistakable sound alone evokes many pleasant (childhood) memories and thoughts in every man/woman/child.
It is the most popular, free means of transport during the summer months and therefore it is hard to imagine Seekirchen without it.
The train runs according to schedule on all long weekends and during the summer holidays from July to the beginning of September, weather permitting, on its round trip from the city center to the Seekirchen lido.
You can also book the Wallersee Xpress for a special trip, preferably in spring. Enjoy the surroundings, the nature, the view of the lake and watch the hustle and bustle along the route. There is always something to discover.

    Highway: If you are arriving by car, take the A1 motorway and exit at Wallersee. From there, follow Salzburger Straße and Obertrumer Straße to Seekirchen.

    Main roads: You can also reach Seekirchen via Obertrumer Landstraße, Mattseer Landstraße, Seekirchner Landstraße, Henndorfer Landstraße, or Köstendorfer Landstraße.
