Description Destination

The Garden of the Two Banks was opened in 2004 as part of a cross-border project between Kehl and Strasbourg on the occasion of the State Garden Show.
Flowerbeds and parks extend over more than 50 hectares on both sides of the Rhine. On the German side of the river, visitors can stroll along the Rhine promenade in the shade of large trees or relax on the countless lawns. What is particularly beautiful is the garden's diverse planting, which changes throughout the seasons and is open to the public.
Children enjoy numerous play opportunities. Even small children get their money's worth at the water playground (in summer). In the midst of these attractions is the Passerelle des Deux Rives. Architecturally very appealing, this pedestrian and cycle bridge connects both sides of the Rhine.
Our tip:
From the 44m high Weisstannenturm, visitors can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over Kehl and the Rhine as far as Strasbourg. The climb is free.
