From the end of the valley in St. Magdalena/Gsieser Tal you hike uphill, always on the edge of the ski slope, past the Hacklerhöfen, until you reach the Almweg in the hamlet of Ampfertal. Here you will already see the sign "Ascht" with the number 10. Following the sign you will soon reach the Aschtalm (1950 m, refreshment stop possible). Walking time 2 hours.
