The Steinplatte Waidring cable car is located in the border triangle of Tyrol, Salzburg and Bavaria and is easily accessible from Waidring: On the Austrian side, the 15-seater gondola takes you up from Waidring – right into the heart of prehistoric fun, blessed by nature with a dreamlike location on a sunny plateau.
From Germany...
...via the A8 motorway and the A93 to Oberaudorf, from there follow the B172 Erpfendorfer Landesstraße to Erpfendorf and via the E641/B178 Loferer Straße you reach Waidring / Austria.
From Austria...
...coming from Salzburg, take the A1 or A10 to the Salzburg West exit. From there, follow the B178 via Lofer and arrive directly in Waidring.
From Italy...
...take the Brenner motorway to Innsbruck and then take the A12 towards Salzburg. At the Wörgl Ost junction, leave the motorway in the direction of St. Johann in Tirol and then follow the B171 for about 4 km. Then take the B178 towards St. Johann in Tirol and then on to Waidring.
