Description Destination
The Mareit Gasteig circular trail takes you along the Mareiterbach stream at a wonderfully leisurely pace and can also be undertaken with a stroller without any problems. In principle, the starting point and the direction of walking are unimportant, but we start below the magnificent backdrop of Wolfsthurn Castle. A subsequent visit to the South Tyrolean Hunting and Fishing Museum housed there would be worthwhile, as would a short detour to the small church below the castle hill.
From Mareit (refreshment stop), you first cross the bridge to the orographic left side of the stream and then immediately turn right onto the cycle and walking path out of the valley. The path leads to the hamlet of Stange (refreshment stop), where you change to the other side of the stream. The path continues along the stream to Gasteig (refreshment stop). Here, too, you change sides of the stream, but now the circular trail leads back into the valley on the footpath marked with number 9 to Mareit.
