Description Destination
The permanent exhibition "Money" is dedicated to the history of money and the tasks and challenges of a central bank. The interplay of historical and current developments encourages people to think about access to and handling of money. The relevant content can be literally understood at hands-on and multimedia stations. Special exhibitions that change every year complement the thematic offering.
Audio guides for smartphones are available free of charge via the Hearonymus app in the Apple Store and Google Play. The audio guides are available in German and English.
The Money Museum offers age-appropriate didactic offers for school classes and groups of 10 or more people. These are offered free of charge by prior appointment.
For families, the Money Museum offers changing children's programs during the semester, summer and Christmas holidays as part of the WienXtra holiday game (registration at the Money Museum) and the Vienna Children's University (registration via the Children's University).
