The "House of Gmünd Contemporary History" in the former information center of the Gmünd refugee camp gives an overview of the most important events of the 20th century in Gmünd and 'äesk4 Velenice and also looks at the effects of national and international history on the region. In addition to the history of the Gmünd refugee camp, one of the largest camps in the former Austro-Hungarian monarchy, the development of the border after 1918 and the region on the "Iron Curtain" is also traced.
