History comes alive in the open-air museum: Three authentically furnished museum houses impressively demonstrate how farmers and basket makers used to work and live in the moor. A real highlight are the European bison, Europe's largest land mammals. From the bison platform on Museum Street, you can observe the impressive animals up close. The current exhibition “Wood does things! Wood, forest, tree and you?” It opens our eyes to the power of forests, the importance of trees, and our own role in this living interplay. Visitors are invited to experience wood with all their senses. After so many impressions, the Rosinger Hof museum restaurant invites you to a cozy end to your visit. In the beer garden you can enjoy a hearty snack and a cool drink – perfect for ending the day in a relaxed atmosphere.
