The Heugathalm at 1,235 meters above sea level is a paradise for families with children, as there is a playground with a tree house and petting animals on the mountain pasture. You can reach the mountain pasture in about half an hour.
At the mountain pasture you are served delicious snacks with farm products such as cheese, butter, bread and bacon.

    You can either take the Rosenstein road to the car park. From there, it takes about 45 minutes to walk to Heugathalm. This path is suitable for strollers.

    Or you can choose the quiet forest path. This begins about 250 m north of the "Großarl Nord" entrance to the town, where the lift car park is located. It takes 1.5 to 2 hours to walk to Heugathalm. This path is not suitable for strollers.
