The Heugathalm alpine pasture at 1,235 meters is a little paradise for families with children. A playground and petting zoo make a visit during your family vacation a truly special experience. From the barrier, you can reach the pasture in about half an hour on foot.

Even the sight of the new dairy whets your appetite for the farm's own specialties, which the alpine farmers serve with a hearty snack. Cheese, butter, bread, bacon, and sausage are sure to delight any hiker.

    You can either take the Rosenstein road to the car park. From there, it takes about 45 minutes to walk to Heugathalm. This path is suitable for strollers.

    Or you can choose the quiet forest path. This begins about 250 m north of the "Großarl Nord" entrance to the town, where the lift car park is located. It takes 1.5 to 2 hours to walk to Heugathalm. This path is not suitable for strollers.
