Description Destination

The museum shows an overview of the eventful family life of Empress Elisabeth, also known as Sisi, in 4 rooms on the ground floor of the historic Possenhofen train station: her childhood in Possenhofen, her heyday as a monarch up to her death on Lake Geneva. There are also exhibits relating to King Ludwig II, as far as they relate to Lake Starnberg. The museum is barrier-free and can also be reached barrier-free using the S6 Munich - Tutzing, Possenhofen stop. Various audio/video guides for children, adults and the deaf are offered in international sign language. Another focus is on children's programs and project work with the so-called "Sisi Mobil" suitcase for schools, school camps and groups in the Possenhofen youth hostel.
