The Karawanks UNESCO Global Geopark is a cross-border nature and cultural experience region with an outstanding geological heritage. 5 Slovenian and 9 Austrian communities have united in an area of 1067 km².

Discover the exciting underworld of the Petzen by bike or kayak, as well as the colorful Obir stalactite caves. Find your inner peace on the Hemmaberg, one of the oldest pilgrimage destinations in Europe. Go to the geopark's fascinating, interactive exhibition in the GEO.DOM on the Petzen, increase your adrenaline down the valley on the Flow Country Trail, or plunge down the zipline from "Europe to Africa" over Črna na Koroškem. On the raft you can enjoy sailing across the border between Austria and Slovenia on the water.
