Who remembers hopscotch, ten-pints, or thunderstorms? At the children's and games festival on October 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., old, long-forgotten children's games invite you to join in and try them out. Just like children used to play.
Over 100 years ago, children didn't have much free time, but they made good use of it. They played with natural materials, everyday objects, and according to clever rules. For children, it's a journey of discovery into an almost unknown world of play, entirely without digital devices or accessories. Many game stations await at the children's and games festival: Blind Man's Bluff, Thunderstorm, Matador, and sack races can all be tried. Who dares to walk on stilts, and who will score the highest in the throwing game? Children can have their faces painted to their heart's content. A stamp card guides them through the day; collecting many stamps earns a small gift.
The Lower Austria Card and Family Country Pass are valid.
