Actually, it was supposed to be a celebratory concert. The “Carnival of the Animals” by Camille Saint-Saëns is on the programme. Excited excitement, but then: … the cleaning lady comes!
And where just a moment ago the clarinet and bassoon were playing, elephants and fish are now dancing. Chickens cackle in the middle of the concert and wild donkeys storm the stage. And why can't turtles dance the cancan? Do the drummer’s sticks also protect against attacks? Infected by the music, the cleaning lady increasingly forgets her duties and immerses herself in the world of animal sounds together with the musicians of the ensemble and the audience.
