KOLK 17 Puppet Theatre & Museum combines museum, theatre and research under one roof. In historic brick buildings, visitors discover a fascinating world of art, play and living puppets. The collection of the museum, which reopened in 2025, comprises around 20,000 objects from all over the world and is one of the most important of its kind in Europe.
At the same time, the renovated theater hosts up to 150 performances a year, including numerous guest performances for children and adults. It's a place full of stories, movement, and surprising encounters, offering rare glimpses behind the scenes of an extraordinary art form – right in the heart of Lübeck's historic old town.
