In the beginning there was the adventure...

Young Anton was actually supposed to help his father bake bread and work with dough and flour - but even then the young boy wasn't interested in that. He had discovered a much nicer hobby, namely nativity scene building. In every free minute (when he wasn't in the bakery) he tinkered around with his nativity scenes.

He had found his passion...

You can now admire this passion all year round in our Hotel Mondschein in Sexten. This is where one of the most beautiful and famous nativity scene exhibitions in South Tyrol is located.

The collection includes four magnificent panoramic nativity scenes (all approx. 4-5m x 2m in size) with a classic oriental character and various Tyrolean nativity scenes by Sexten nativity scene makers with their own unique charm. You stand and marvel and are enchanted by the moving world theater behind glass...
