In a beautiful spot in the wild and romantic valley of the Feldaist, hikers come across a very special gem: the Kumpfmühle. Its distinctive water wheel is reminiscent of times when farmers milled their grain here and had their logs sawn into boards. For a long time, the mill lay dormant before owner Friedrich Robeischl and his family spent years lovingly restoring it. Today, he likes to lead visitors into the mysterious world of millers, reveals many a "Pfoachtl" of the mill builders and tells of the joys and dangers of life on and with the river.
