Cross-country skiing with children can be a really great thing. At the Postalm, you as a family are in good hands, because the beginners' trail is ideal for your first attempts on cross-country skis. For those who want to go further, there are 3 beautiful high-altitude trails. Do you enjoy going out with your four-legged friend? Then conquer the Ramsau (dog) trail with him!
The cross-country ski trails on the Postalm:
- Total 25 kilometers
- both classic and skating tracks
- Surrounded by the infrastructure of the Postalm Winter Park: huts, food truck, natural toboggan run - all in the immediate vicinity
The optimal condition of the routes makes it possible to stay on skis the whole time – there is no need to take your skis off for a while. From various starting points, the cross-country ski trails lead through the hilly landscape of the Postalm Plateau with some short, steep climbs and descents. All trails (except the Ramsau trail) are connected to each other, which allows you to plan your route in a relaxed manner.

Do you need tips for your cross-country skiing beginners or do you want to improve further? The Postalm Ski School Gabi Pilz is located directly next to the lifts and is your contact point for all questions about learning cross-country skiing.
Cross-country skiing equipment:
You can get cross-country skis and everything else you need for your trip at the ski rental shop right next to the ticket office at the car park.

Westautobahn A1 – Regau exit
on B 145 towards Bad Ischl
continue on B 158 – first exit St. Wolfgang / Strobl
then immediately right under the main road,
up via the Höhenstraße to the Postalm Winterpark.
Arrival via Salzburg – 2 options:
Via B159 towards Golling/Abtenau,
at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto B 162,
continue on B 162 – take the Volgau exit,
over the bridge and turn right onto Lammerweg,
turn left onto Postalmstraße.
Via A1 – Thalgau exit,
B 158 towards Hof/Fuschl/St. Gilgen/Strobl
