Description Destination

Located directly on the Salzburg Alpine Trail, the Loosbühelalm is situated at 1,769 meters. The alpine pasture can be reached in about 1 hour and 15 minutes via the hiking trail or the forest road; mountain bikers are also welcome. In summer, you can drive almost to the hut.

Up top, a large sun terrace, rustic dining rooms, and many farm-made specialties await you. The Loosbühelalm is particularly known for its goat's milk and cheese specialties, but it also serves traditional Austrian snacks, hot meals, and pastries.

For families, the alpine pasture offers a large playground and petting zoo. Those wishing to stay longer can also spend the night and enjoy the special atmosphere in the Großarl mountains.

The Loosbühelalm is also open in winter and features its own toboggan run.
