The MAMUZ Castle Asparn/Zaya turns 40,000 years of human history into an experience! The exhibition in the castle provides a comprehensive insight into prehistory, early history and medieval archaeology with its interactive and modern design. The exhibition includes original exhibits that impress with their uniqueness and their stories. The most important finds in the Prehistory and Historical Archaeology Collection of Lower Austria illustrate the everyday life as well as the artistic work and cultural life of our ancestors.
The archaeological open-air grounds of the MAMUZ Schloss Asparn/Zaya offer a glimpse into past living environments in Central Europe with faithful replicas of buildings from the Stone Age to the early Middle Ages. Huts made of clay and wood show the living and working areas from 40,000 years of human history. The furnishings of the dwellings and workshops show the life of our ancestors from new perspectives. These perspectives can also be experienced at varied, historical festivals – when Stone Age hunters, Celts and Huns camp. Active programs and historical craft courses make it possible to experience history up close!

Bus VOR 589: From Mistelbach train station take the post bus to the stop "Asparn/Zaya Schulzentrum" (Sat, Sun and public holidays: stop "Asparn/Zaya Hauptplatz"). 4 to 6 minutes walk to the castle.
Taxi Schiefer: From Mistelbach train station take the Taxi Schiefer to MAMUZ Schloss Asparn/Zaya. One way for € 21,- (prices subject to increase) with a bus for up to 8 people.

Rail taxi - for groups and individual visitors (season: May 1 to October 26): Fixed trips on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The rail taxi (www.schienentaxi.at) runs between Mistelbach Interspar and Asparn/Zaya. Transfer with nostalgic railcars from Mistelbach Interspar to Asparn/Zaya and back. Return fares for adults are €12,- and for children up to 15 years €6,-. Group trips are possible at any time, including weekdays and out of season, by arrangement.
Prices for group trips there and back: For school classes € 4,- per student, minimum € 120,-.
Group trips for adults: up to 8 people € 75,-, 9-16 people € 150,-, from 17 people € 200,-
