See – feel – smell – hear – taste: the child-friendly tour through the manufactory’s demonstration workshop allows you to experience the production of Meissen porcelain with all of your senses.
What is Meissen porcelain? Can you hear and taste porcelain? What does it smell like when it is painted? How does it feel to feel a figure blindly?
The sensory guide addresses these questions and turns amazed children into knowledgeable experts in no time. In the rooms of the show workshop, children and their parents as well as school classes have the opportunity during the school holidays to explore Meissen porcelain with all of their senses: sight, touch, smell, hearing and taste.
The vivid tour explains in a child-friendly way what the porcelain mass is made of, how it is shaped and how Meissen porcelain is made. The museum rule ‘Please do not touch!’ is deliberately ignored here.
