The Möhnesee is the largest dam in the Sauerland region and is a popular destination not only for day trippers. 40 kilometers of shoreline invite you to sunbathe, hike, cycle and enjoy all kinds of water sports.     Directions

    Coming from Kassel or Dortmund, take the Soest/Möhnesee exit on the A44 motorway and follow the B229 towards Möhnesee. The B229 leads through the district of Wippringsen to Delecke and the southern shore of the lake. You can reach the other towns via the B516 (Haarstrang). After the town of Wippringsen you can turn right onto the B516.

    Coming from Hamm or Bestwig, take the Arnsberg-Ost exit on the A46 motorway and follow the B229 towards Möhnesee. This takes you to the southern shore of the lake and over the Delecke bridge to the northern shore.
