Description Destination
Alpin Coaster by Wiegand, 300 m lift / approx. 900 m descent with a height difference of approx. 100 m. The track runs on the ground at running heights of up to 4 m through beech and spruce plantations. Track heights over 1 m are specially protected by safety nets. The sleds travel at intervals of more than 30 m, so each user can determine his or her own speed and driving style.
The sleds have 3-point belts for the driver and handlebars and lap belts for the passenger. They are designed for weights up to 225kg. Children up to 10 years of age must travel accompanied by an adult; older children can use the track independently. The toboggan has centrifugal brakes which allow speeds of up to 40 km/h. With powerful manual brakes, the user can determine his speed at any time. The facility has an hourly capacity of about 300 people. The Sternrodt adventure mountain is located in Bruchhausen, a district of the city of Olsberg. Olsberg is located in the triangle of cities Brilon/Willingen/Winterberg in the middle of the Hochsauerland. A visit to Bruchhausen also includes a visit to the Bruchhauser Steine.
