Description Destination
Our family business, run by Bettina and Peter Hemetsberger, has been operating boat trips and boat rentals on Lake Mondsee for over 80 years - in the third generation. The three captains Peter, Bettina and Daniel (our son) are happy to pass on our traditional knowledge, peppered with many anecdotes about the Mondsee region, to our guests. The stories of Manio, our little Klabautermännchen, and the legends of the Mondsee region are particularly exciting for young and old. There is a lot to tell about the legendary Drachenwand or the imposing Schafberg. The Mondsee region has been inhabited for over 6000 years - the remains of the pile dwellings are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The emperor also once traveled through the Mondsee region on the famous Ischlerbahn. The basilica in the town center is just as well-known and famous, and part of the film "The Sound of Music" was filmed there.
