In Saalbach Hinterglemm, families can expect the story of the clown Montelino, who lost his smile. How this happened is briefly revealed here: The little clown neglected his friends and toys – and one day all his friends disappeared and his toy box was empty. Then the little clown became terribly sad and lost his smile. Now the help of all children is urgently needed!
The Kohlmaisbahn takes you up to the Kohlmais summit – that’s where the adventure begins. Equipped with a game pass, which the children receive at the valley station, they follow the wise owl and go in search of the friends and toys of the little clown Montelino. From the mountain station to the middle station of the Kohlmaisbahn, the route goes through the forest and across alpine meadows, where numerous play stations await the whole family. From the spider web to target throwing, to the giant snake Paula and the Punch and Judy show. From the squirrel’s nest with the golden nut to the giant slide and the circus arena – there is a lot to discover on Montelino’s adventure trail! Anyone who finds the friends and toys and brings the clown's smile back can take part in a competition with many great prizes.
With a walking time of around 90 minutes over a distance of around three kilometres, the mountain experience on the Kohlmais is ideal for spending half a day to a whole day having fun and playing on the mountain. Alpine huts with special offers for children along the way invite you to take a rest.
NOTE: Montelino’s adventure trail is accessible with a stroller. Visiting the adventure trail is free of charge. The game pass, which the little visitors receive at the Kohlmaisbahn valley station, is included in the valid cable car ticket.
