Description Destination
We are going up to the alpine pasture again with cows, calves, and piglets and will be managing our hut from Thursday, May 21, 2026.
Beautifully situated in the unspoiled Seidlwinkl valley – about 4km or a good hour's walk from the "Fleckweide parking lot" – 2. Alpine pasture in the valley – also well suited as a “rainy hike”.
The valley bus will run again from June 22nd, daily except Saturdays.

Our rustic, traditional alpine hut (built in 1730) is located in the unique Rauris Seidlwinkl valley at an altitude of 1330m. Countless waterfalls line the path.
The nature lover is thrilled by the diversity of plants.
The alpine pasture is easily accessible for everyone within a good hour's walk (even with a stroller). Part of the first section of the route is steeper. Should walking ever become too much, there is also a reliable valley bus that goes all the way to the hut.
Once they arrive, they will experience our traditional alpine farming with our own "gourmet" products from our cattle and our milk. For the children there is a spacious children's playground, calves, free-roaming pigs, rabbits to pet and marmots - Manggei is very close to the cabins. Our loyal cat Charly is always up for a cuddle. Our new features include a water playground and a sunken trampoline. We look forward to seeing them - whatever the weather. Children are welcome to watch the milking process in the milking parlor and taste the fresh milk - daily at approximately 4:15 pm.
On the alpine pasture, we process some of the milk into butter and cheese; the bread is, of course, homemade.

Coming from Salzburg, take the A10 towards St. Johann im Pongau and continue towards Zell am See (B311). After Taxenbach, turn towards Rauris and continue via Wörth into the Seidlwinkltal valley to the Fleckweide parking lot. From here, it's about an hour's walk or continue by valley bus to the Palfneralm. The valley bus runs from mid-June to the end of September.
