Fairytale-like beauty, a little mystical and wonderfully romantic - this is how the Rauriser
Primeval forest in Kolm Saigurn. More than 80 dark moor ponds, idyllic clearings, millennia-old Norway spruces
and lush green mosses can be found in the natural fall forest. A newly created educational trail
informs you about the formation of the Rauris primeval forest, its animal inhabitants and flora. In 2014
The nature trail through the Rauriser jungle was awarded as one of the 33 best nature trails in Austria
Version 1:
The starting point is at the Lenzanger car park. From here the Almenweg No. 31 leads to the Durchgangalm. Hold
Turn right - under the Gainschnigg-Alm you will find the entrance to the Rauriser Urwald (educational trail
No. 30). From the Ammererhof via Kolmstraße back to the Lenzanger car park.
Duration: approx. 1.5 - 2 hours
Difficulty: easy, approx. 200 m
Variant 2:
From the Ammererhof to the Gainschnigg-Alm and along the nature trail
No. 30 back to the Ammererhof.
Duration: approx. 1 hour
Difficulty: easy, approx. 200 m
