The Saar Alpaca Farm is located in the "Almet" recreation area, about 5 km from Saarbrücken city center. The farm and farm shop are open to visitors on Saturdays (also on Sundays from October to March) and invite you to browse the shop or watch the animals.
Experience the gentle Andean camels up close with a Saar Alpaca experience (dates at www.saar-alpaka.de/online-buchung) - prior registration is required.

Coming from Saarbrücken St. Arnual, drive into Verlängerte Julius Kiefer Straße at the Tabaksweiher, the Tabaksweiher is on your left. From there, follow our alpaca mare Viviane and the signs to the Erbeldinger Hof. The Saar Alpaca Farm is located about 2 km behind the Tabaksweiher, right next to the Erbeldinger Hof.

Grande Tour Wanderung

Am Samstag habe ich mit einer Freundin die Grande Tour Wanderung mit Lamas und Alpakas gemacht. Es war ein super schönes Erlebnis. Angefangen von Kennenlernen der Tiere bis zum Ende der Wanderung eine runde Sache. Die Stecke war ca. 9 km , etwas um die 3 Stunden über die Spicherer Höhe. Zweimal wurde eine kurze Rast für die Tiere gemacht zum grasen. Unterwegs wurden unsere Fragen von Rainer Frenkel mit viel Wissen über diese Tiere beantwortet. Man merkte ihm seine Zuneigung zu den Tieren an. Die Tiere wollen zwar nicht gestreichelt werden, aber neben ihnen her in gemächlichem Tempo durch den Wald zu wandern, brachte einen zu einer inneren Ruhe. Ich werde diese Wanderung im nächsten Jahr auf jeden Fall wiederholen und kann sie nur weiterempfehlen. Für kleinere Kinder gibt es eine extra Wanderung die nicht so lange dauert

Schöne Aktivität für die Familie

Wir haben die Aktivität "Wiesenglück" gebucht und meine 9 jährige Tochter fand es toll. Man sollte aber bedenken, daß es nicht mit einem Streichelzoo vergleichbar ist. Für einen ersten Kontakt mit den Tieren, um vielleicht später eine Wanderung zu buchen, ist es perfekt.
