The legend trail is a circular hike starting from the center in Fürstenfeld, through the Buchwald landscape to Altenmarkt and via the retail park back to the main square.
With this circular hike you will get to know the town of Fürstenfeld and its surroundings well. There is a free audio guide and an overview map for the theme trail, which can be picked up at the tourist office (please note opening hours). The legend trail leads from the center or the first stop - the Pfeilburg Museum - through the city and further southwest into the beautiful nature and recreation area of ​​Buchwald. The stations in the Buchwald are suitable for young and old and can also be easily hiked in the hot summer months, as the beautiful mixed forest not only provides pleasant shade, but also surprises with numerous rest and activity areas. Thus, the beech forest is the natural heart of the trail, with most of the legend trail stations. The rest of the route is on side roads, so you walk through the small village of Altenmarkt, pass directly by the retail park and the largest outdoor swimming pool in Europe.
