Description Destination
In the oldest visitor mine in the world, the more than 2500-year history of salt, the “white gold” of earlier centuries, can be experienced. You follow the traces of the Celts, but also discover the world of miners from the Middle Ages to the present day. The mine train takes you into the salt mine in a fun and comfortable way and two long miner's slides lead you to the underground salt lake.
You can also learn more about the importance of salt – as the essence of life – above ground on the Celtic Adventure Mountain. The Celtic village SALINA, the new show factory and a themed playground are best explored virtually with the new Salt Mine app.
Tips:
• The new “Salt World Destination Guide” app, including an audio guide, provides free information and background information (available in the App Store or on Google Play).
• Don’t forget sturdy shoes and warm clothes!
• Children aged 4 and over are allowed to visit the salt mine. The Celtic Adventure Mountain can be discovered by children aged 0 to 99.
