In the middle of Holstein Switzerland in the sleepy village of Harmsdorf near Lensahn there is something that is rarely seen and experienced anymore.
There is a historic listed smokehouse that was built over 350 years ago and is still used for the purpose it was built for today thanks to the Braasch family.
Holstein ham is smoked there according to an old family recipe. The view of the historic thatched-roof cottage from 1663 is uniquely beautiful.
Come along and experience a free tour and let yourself be enchanted by the charm of the cottage and the many details. The wonderful sight, the smell and the taste of the smoked ham and sausage specialties always offer a very special experience. We look forward to your visit!

    Coming from the north, you can reach us via the B 202, which leads from Kiel to Oldenburg. In Kaköhl, coming from Kiel, turn right towards Hansühn / Lensahn. 5 km behind Hansühn in the direction of Lensahn you will find Harmsdorf, Schinken Braasch is right on the main road on the right-hand side.

    Coming from the south, it is best to take the A1 to the Lensahn exit, then follow the signs to Kiel, the next town after Lensahn is Harmsdorf. Schinken Braasch is right on the main road on the left-hand side.
