The castle is privately owned and has a special place in the heart of the ducal family of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha - as a historic ducal summer residence and hunting residence. For us, the preservation of Greinburg Castle in accordance with its monument status is one of our greatest obligations - the most important link between the present and our past.

Greinburg Castle is open from May 1st to October 26th for visitors who want to explore and research the castle. Of particular interest are the banquet rooms of the Foundation of the Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha family and the Upper Austrian Maritime Museum. In addition, visitors can enjoy the extraordinary architecture of Greinburg Castle, the unique Sala Terrena and the incomparable view of the Danube and the surrounding area.
