Pure mountain joy on the highest mountain in Lower Austria! 80 kilometers south of Vienna in a valley at the foot of the 2,076 meter high Schneeberg lies the climatic health resort of Puchberg - a paradise for hiking enthusiasts, winter sports fans and those seeking relaxation.
The hiking village of Puchberg am Schneeberg with over 80 kilometers of hiking trails and alpine climbs is ideal for discovering the wonderful nature and getting active. It is not without reason that it is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Lower Austria.
The Schneeberg chairlift is located in the Losenheim district. In just a few minutes, the four-seater chairlift takes guests to the mountain station at 1,210 metres above sea level – to the Fadensattel. This is the ideal starting point for leisurely hikes or sporty, challenging tours on and around the Schneeberg. The huts on the mountain invite you to linger and spoil young and old with regional delicacies and refreshments. Wonderful panoramic views are guaranteed.
During the summer season, five fun play stations await the younger guests, which can be explored in combination with a stamp pass rally.
In the cold season, the areas around the Schneeberg chairlift transform into a winter sports paradise for the whole family. The family ski park with mat ski slope, drag lift and magic carpet attracts with beginner-friendly slopes.

    hoher Spaßfaktor

    Skifahren auf der Wunderwiese war im Winter eher unangenehm. Im Sommer möchte ich erst recht nicht mit Schutzkleidung dort sein.

    Reifenrutsche ist voll super.
    Die Mountaincartstrecke ist relativ klein; dafür kann man den ganzen Tag dort sein. Und ist ideal um mit kleineren Kindern reinzuschnuppern.
    Die Regeln, ab wann die Kinder selbst fahren dürfen kennt offenbar nicht mal das Personal. Was auf der Homepage steht, was auf den Tafeln vor Ort steht und was dann tatsächlich das Personal zulässt sind 3 Paar Schuhe. ab 1,4 Meter UND 8 Jahre ist man save (wer ist schon so groß mit dem 8. Geburtstag?) davor halt nur gemeinsam mit einem Älteren. Hat aber trotzdem viel Spaß gemacht; wir kommen wieder.
