The HEUSCHRECK Theater has been performing fantastic children's musicals for the whole family for almost 40 years and has thrilled and enchanted generations of young and old audiences with its special musicals full of heart since its inception.
​What started out as a small group of artists who adapted well-known stories and made a living from individual engagements has now become a professional, mobile children's theatre with self-written plays: over 130 performances a year delight more than 30,000 people throughout Austria. Since its beginnings, more than 20 musical theatre pieces have been staged. The HEUSCHRECK pieces are created in collaboration with contemporary artists and fascinate young and old with current themes, colorful costumes, moving stage sets and sophisticated compositions. The Theater HEUSCHRECK association also produces CDs and books and is committed to enabling children to have a theater experience regardless of their origin and social environment.
