Description Destination

From the end of the valley in St. Magdalena/Gsieser Tal (1460m), follow trail marker no. 12 over the bridge. There, turn left and then left again after the Schlosser Hof, before turning right after a few meters to the old cattle drive. Near the Burger Hof, cross the bridge over the Pfoibach stream and hike along the forest road through the forest. Small forest clearings keep opening up here, offering impressive views over the valley and the Pragser Dolomites, which tower steeply into the sky. After a while, cross the mountain stream again and again and after a hike through alpine meadows, you soon reach a junction (1930m), where you keep left. This path leads through more meadows and forests to the hiking destination, the Uwaldalm (2042m, refreshment stop possible).

    Tip Top. Frühstück bei herrlicher Aussicht und sehr netten Gastgebern. Kann man nur empfehlen.

    Urige Alm mit super Südtiroler Kost

    Die Wanderung verläuft über eine Forststraße, die auch gut mit dem MTB oder auch mit dem Kinderwagen befahrbar ist. Die Hütte befindet sich oberhalb des Gsiesertales in sonniger Lage und ist gemütlich eingerichtet und hat eine tolle Panoramaterasse. Das Essen ist supergut und die Preise passen. Das Team ist freundlich und immer für einen "Ratscher" zu haben. Wir kommen wieder.
