Climb to Radstatt on path no. 5 via Gosauergraben, Mondseeblickstraße and Seegruber.
From the Radstatt Chapel, in addition to the described path no. 2 (Hans-Papst-Weg) over the ridge of the Mondseeberg, there are other options for returning to the town:
Two paths No. 4 are marked:
The left path is a forest path that leads to the forest road (path no. 3: Mondsee- Hochalm- Oberwang).
The right path is also initially a forest path, but soon meets the forest road, which is followed to the left. Passing the Almplatzlstube you reach the forest road (path no. 3) again.
To the left it goes via Hauberg back to Mondsee.
If you have a little energy left, take a detour to the right - forest road, then meadow path - to the Hochalm viewing point. Here was the alpine pasture that belonged to the monastery or castle.
There are no longer any places to stop for refreshments here, and the buildings have also been demolished. But the view is still worth the half hour walk there and back from the forest road junction.
Walking time for the whole circuit - without Hochalm: approx. 4 hours
