Description Destination
The Ferleiten Wildlife & Adventure Park is located directly on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and shows children and parents more than 250 animals on approximately 15 hectares. The children can observe wolves, brown bears, lynxes, bison, coatis and raccoons up close, as well as red deer, ibex, chamois and fallow deer.
In the middle of the grounds there is a large pond with plenty of places to sit and rest, as well as an observation tower. Educational and display boards provide information about the fauna and flora of the Alps. There are petting animals for the children such as dwarf goats, donkeys, ponies and alpacas.
The adventure park grounds are located right next to the enclosures of the Ferleiten Wildlife Park. In the Ferleiten Adventure Park, children will find fun and games on 20,000 m² in the midst of an impressive mountain world at the foot of the Großglockner.
In addition to the Nautic Jet, a boat that jumps into the water, there is a pineapple (rollover swing), an electronic pony riding track, bumper boats, a pedal kart track and our new play equipment, such as the legendary Sundancer and the Ferleiten TubingTrack.
A large adventure playground with swings, see-saws, various small play equipment and a giant slide invites children to play creatively. Trampolines, bouncy cushions and water games complete the offer. An indoor playroom for bad weather with many surprises and a toddler paradise are available in the Ferleiten Adventure Park.
Refreshments are available in the Zwergenschenke and the Büffelbar. While the children have fun playing in the Ferleiten adventure park, parents watch their children from the restaurant terrace.
The walking time through the zoo is about an hour. The paths are suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.
Tip: Ferleiten is located at the beginning of the Käfertal and is also the starting point for many beautiful hikes in the Hohe Tauern National Park.
Another attraction is the trip with the golf caddies, including a guide, to the famous Käfertal. This tour is especially suitable for families who are interested in untouched nature.
