Berlin is the German capital and worth a visit for that reason alone. There are numerous cultural highlights to discover here. The city is perfect for a family holiday with children, as there are endless activities for children. City holiday with the family: The Museum Island

The Museum Island is unique in Germany because it has more museums in one place than anywhere else . The Old National Gallery, the New Museum and the Pergamon Museum are just three examples. Much more interesting for children as a day trip destination are the Spy Museum , the Museum of Magic, Legoland and the Technology Museum. Here, touching and experimenting is expressly permitted. As well as the highlights of the museum world, there are of course countless other facilities, all of which are worth a visit when the weather is bad . As well as the famous Madame Tussauds wax museum , Little Big City is particularly recommended. Here, the city is on display in miniature. Located right on Alexanderplatz, you can also visit many celebrities.

The Brandenburg Gate: A must-see in the German capital

The Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin TV Tower are the two most famous landmarks of the German capital . A visit is therefore a must, even if the adventure playground seems more interesting for your child at first glance. But a trip up the TV tower, which at 368 meters is the tallest building in Germany , is also an experience for children. From the top you have an excellent view of the whole of Berlin.

A boat trip on the Spree

The German capital not only conveys a great big city feeling; there are also many green corners to discover. The Botanical Garden in the Dahlem district is one of the highlights. It is more than 100 years old and has a huge plant population . You shouldn't miss the Monbijou Park in Berlin-Mitte either. A visit here is particularly recommended if you have been on a tour of Berlin-Mitte, including a visit to Museum Island, and now want to relax a bit . The park not only has plenty of play opportunities, but also the Monbijou outdoor pool, which is geared entirely towards children. From the park you have a good view of the Spree from everywhere. This brings us to the next highlight: a boat trip on the Spree is an essential part of your family time . The great thing about it is that you pass numerous bridges and sights. You will also learn a lot about the history of the city, as a guide will accompany you on the boat trip. Hop-on hop-off buses are also a convenient way to discover the city with children. A tour on the open double-decker bus is an experience for children.
